James graduated in 2004 and, following completion of Vocational Training, worked as an associate in general dental practice for 5 years. During this time he attained the MFGDP membership and an MSc in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

In 2010 he returned to hospital dentistry to enter specialist training in Restorative Dentistry. He completed his Membership in Endodontics in 2013 and a Masters in Dental Public Health in 2015. He works as a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester and in both general practice and Specialist Endodontic practice at Clinic 334 in Wilmslow. His ambition is to develop a managed clinical network to improve treatment for the acute and long term consequences of dento-alveolar trauma across Greater Manchester. He is on both the Restorative and Endodontic Specialist lists.
